Remembrance Hospice started in 2022 with the need to create a Hospice environment that takes care of the whole person during their end-of-life journey. We are concerned with the patient’s medical as well as their emotional and spiritual needs. We care for the whole person and their family members to ensure the service they receive in the end-of-life journey is thoughtful, kind, caring, and supportive for everyone involved.

Job Description Summary

Responsible for managing major aspects of palliative care program marketing : establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Directs daily marketing operations including implementation of provided marketing initiatives.
  • Understands and adheres to all laws, statutes and regulations regarding anti-kickback, lawful marketing activities (gifts and services), patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
  • Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations for assigned accounts.
  • Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
  • Builds and monitors community, customer, and patient perceptions of the Hospice as a high-quality provider of services.
  • Identifies opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the Hospice's markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by the Hospice.
  • Assists in monitoring and reporting cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Position Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Entry level experience in health care marketing management preferably in hospice care, palliative care, or home health care operations. We are willing to train the right candidate!
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and retain healthcare marketing concepts.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
