Area Director of Engineering - Historical Hilton Fort Worth

Position Summary

The Area Engineering Director is responsible for operation, maintenance and repair for a home hotel location and for providing regional support to a larger geographic area of hotels, partnering with the Executive Committee team to lead the 5 Drivers to success. The role supports the engineering leadership at other properties while assuring home property is always the model "flagship" setting the highest standards within the region.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the hotel structure, systems and equipment.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing support to all Engineering Leaders at home property and throughout region assuring consistency, continuous improvement and positive associate morale
• Provide training and guidance to the on-property home hotel team as well as Engineering Leaders within region.
• Establish and maintain Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program and assure records are being maintained per Remington standards.
• Work and coordinate all activities, as needed, with 3rd party vendors for physical plant and maintenance function specifically as they relate to service contracts; including review of scope, terms of agreement and contracts documents.
• Share best practices and leverage corporate and regional resources
• Implement safety and emergency policies and procedures and likewise be a resource to properties in region
• Ensure accurate and consistent application of all company policies and procedures and related local, state and federal laws.
• Act as trusted advisor and sought after resource for leadership and staff throughout region.
• Maintain and track permits and licenses for building and physical plant
• Serve as a career mentor and leader to property Engineering Leaders and staff within region.
• Support talent management efforts at home property as well as within region; including talent development, succession planning, associate engagement, coaching and team building.
• Lead innovation in training methods, with focus on process improvement.
• Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.
• Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter.
