What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Intern position at Remington Hotels?

Possess an interest in Procurement / Purchasing and the hospitality industry.

Work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization.

Assist in preparing design presentations for Ownership and the hotel Brands using a combination of industry data, PowerPoint and Photoshop.

Learn how to communicate with various departments and suppliers.

Learn how to prepare RFPs, Purchase Orders, Expediting Reports, and payment process requests.

Develop an understanding of Procurement, methods and procedures as well as Negotiation strategies.

Attend weekly project conference calls.

Rising junior earning a degree in Business Administration / Hospitality.

Comfortable with personal responsibility and accountability and embraces open communication and collaboration

Possess professional poise and polish, and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to communicate verbally to many personality types

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Photoshop)

Strong desire to learn.
