What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bistro Attendant position at Remington Lodging & Hospitality?
Position Summary:
The Bistro Attendant is there to make sure our customers receive prompt, friendly service in our restaurants at all times.
Core Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly upon taking a seat in the restaurant.
- Share any specials or make recommendations from the menu for the customer.
- Secure drink orders and take food orders in an efficient manner.
- Inspect food for accuracy and presentation prior to delivery.
- Maintain a clean table and assist with any refills or requests as needed.
- Complete all side station work and maintain a clean safe environment.
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- High work ethic and self-initiative
- Regular attendance according to established guidelines
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
- Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks in a short time period, and complete work assignments within deadline demands, despite frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times
- Must complete food handler and alcohol awareness training as required
- Must practice all food handling guidelines
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds
- Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
Starting at $17.00 per hour
