What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Financial Reporting position at Remington?
The Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting in a high impact role working with contacts throughout the organization, including the Vice President of Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Internal audit as well as our subsidiaries and external auditors. In this role, you will be responsible to assist in developing, implementing and managing the external reporting processes for the company and provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions such as acquisitions, legal transactions, impairment, investments, and other non-routine complex business transactions.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Work with contacts throughout the organization, Property Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Internal audit as well as our subsidiaries and external auditors.
- You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the external reporting processes for one of the REITs.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions such as acquisitions, legal transactions, impairment, investments.
- Other non-routine complex business transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 4-6 years relevant experience (includes minimum two years in public accounting)
- A certified public accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
- Professional accounting or financial management experience is required.
- Familiarity with the US GAAP and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Hybrid office / remote work schedule
- Working knowledge of Workiva is a plus
