About The Role
The Internal Audit Associate will be part of Remitly's internal audit department, who is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance and advisory services to improve Remitly's governance, risk management, and control processes. This entry-level role will report to an Internal Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager, and be responsible for the execution of internal audit related projects. This role will be based in Seattle, WA and will work a hybrid schedule. This role will require domestic and international travel as needed (approx 5-10%).

You Will
- Develop planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities for audit and consulting engagements.
- Draft audit reports, audit observations, and other deliverables that align with departmental reporting guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and provide recommendations for enhancing controls and mitigating risks.Managing timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks, including audits, other related audit related initiatives.
- Develop and maintain specialization and expertise in one or more specific lines of business.
- Remain current on current trends, new developments, technologies and practices in the auditing profession, financial services industry, and area of specialization.
- Participate in special projects and other initiatives as directed by audit leadership management to support the overall objectives of the Internal Audit department.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- Knowledge of audit principles and methodologies.
- Understanding of risk management and process concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp underlying concepts in complex information.
- Knowledge of standard software applications such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Software products.

Salary : $72,000 - $80,000
