REMMEY owns and operates three manufacturing plants in Pennsylvania (Lehighton, PA, Beaver Springs, PA, and Middle Creek, PA) cutting, nailing and delivering over 10,000 pallets daily. In the 60 years since inception the company has grown to over 125 employees producing over 2.8 million pallets a year. The company continues to grow and is looking for a top tier candidate to supervise production at the Lehighton, PA Plant
Overview:
The primary responsibility of the production and trucking scheduler is determining daily, weekly, or monthly production activities based on a variety of factors. While developing a schedule, the production scheduler may examine work orders or customer requests, expected delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability. The production scheduler then balances these elements to create an actionable and efficient production schedule. They will provide timely and accurate support, communication and data to customers, sales and production teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper workflow by monitoring processes, equipment, and personnel. Making adjustments to resources as needed
- Manage production workforce; includes training, mentoring, employee accountability, and controlling overtime use
- Create and maintain production and trucking schedules
- Analyze production data for process improvement, supporting manufacturing projects, and managing customer priorities.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
- Adhere to Remmey safety standards at all times to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Provide quick responses to production issue
- Communicate clearly and professionally to customers and sales regarding order status
- Responsible for inventory accuracy on finished goods and WIP
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Associates degree
- 3-5 yrs related experience and/or training: equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with a computer and the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience with federal and state DOT laws and regulations is a plus
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to operate and lead in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with management and fellow team members
- Possess strategic, logical, and methodical thinking for problem solving, organization, time management, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills, while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and hold people accountable while establishing strong relationships
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
