What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director position at Remmsco, Inc?
SUMMARY:
Seeking LCAS or LCAS-A (or in process of receiving one) to be Clinical Director for:
1. One men's substance abuse recovery home (a licensed group home) that houses 9 residents, and
2. One men's three-quarter house that houses 6 residents.
Supervise 3-4 house managers who provide 24-hour coverage in the group home. Works primarily with one office worker/administrator. Negotiate hours with administrator, can be part-time. Must be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: REMMSCO is an acronym for “Reidsville, Eden, Madison, Mayodan, Stoneville, & County.” REMMSCO substance abuse recovery homes offer temporary, recovery-focused housing to men suffering from addictions who are residents of many North Carolina counties. It is the mission of REMMSCO, Inc. to help all residents achieve abstinence-based recovery from substance use disorders, develop structured daily living skills, and regain the dignity inherent in being productive members of society.
REMMSCO's Recovery Home Offers Residents:
- Supervision by caring, professional staff and access to a licensed professional 24/7.
- Individualized service and treatment plans specifically geared to each client.
- Transportation to and from daily AA and NA meetings, local appointments, work, job searches, intensive outpatient groups, GED or college courses, and other community events and resources.
- Guidance in avenues available to clients for medical and psychiatric care, educational advancement, employment, housing, and spiritual growth.
- Staff in both houses who are in recovery themselves and are able to help clients with questions and concerns.
- A staff mentorship program.
- Classes in relapse prevention, cooking, nutrition, meditation, and daily living skills.
REMMSCO's Three-Quarter Sober Living House Offers Residents:
- A community of like-minded men with at least 4 months of sobriety mutually encouraging one another in their recovery.
- A Resident Manager who is available to address resident concerns and facilitate house meetings.
- Access to REMMSCO staff who can provide guidance in avenues available to residents for medical and psychiatric care, educational advancement, employment, housing, and spiritual growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position works primarily with the REMMSCO administrator. This position works very autonomously under limited supervision, providing clinical direction for all facets of REMMSCO. This position must balance sound clinical decisions and practice with the physical concerns of the agency. The Clinical Director must have knowledge of clinical programming, human services policy, and various funding streams.
- Plans, implements, and provides oversight to all clinical Services at each service site, as well as supervises all staff.
- Conducts recruitment and training. Training may include but not be limited to orientation, in-service training activities, as well as clinical supervision.
- Conducts house meetings and staff meetings.
- Reviews clinical information on potential referrals, judges appropriateness of referrals to the REMMSCO program.
- Conducts the Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and establishes an Service Plan/Care Plan for all clients admitted to the REMMSCO program.
- Conducts clinical counseling sessions as needed.
- Provides monthly reports on resident status related to program progress. Discusses with clients any clinical issues that may result in program improvement plans, up to and including program dismissal.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have a valid LCAS or LCAS-A license or be in process of acquiring one. Current Director can provide supervision as a CCS to complete the supervision requirement for those in process of applying to become an LCAS.
