We are hiring a Charge Entry Specialist to ensure accurate and timely charge capture, reconciliation, and compliance for our healthcare organization. If you have a strong attention to detail, healthcare billing experience, and a passion for accuracy, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and reconcile charges in the billing system.
- Verify charges against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and correct billing discrepancies or errors.
- Train staff on charge entry and billing procedures.
- Develop and maintain efficient charge-capture tools and workflows.
- Prepare reports and summaries for the Revenue Cycle team.
- Assist in resolving billing and accounts receivable issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required); medical billing or coding certification preferred.
- At least 2 years in healthcare billing, coding, or charge entry. Family practice coding experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and familiarity with healthcare terminology.
