What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory System Specialist position at Remote Area Medical?
Headquartered in Rockford, Tennessee, Remote Area Medical – RAM® is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. RAM accomplishes its mission by operating mobile clinics which offer a combination of dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals, as well as disaster response and veterinary programs.
The Inventory System Specialist reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is a part of the Operations Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining healthy strategic relationships with supervisor, personnel, volunteers, and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives
- Maintaining familiarity with clinic event concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining the (Odoo) inventory system, which includes but is not limited to; input, tracking, and adjustments to the inventory system to include all products, equipment, and office furnishings within the building; developing and formatting document layouts using the “Studio” program within Odoo; developing pick, pack, load lists, along with other system documents that aid other teams.
- Assists other teams with training and troubleshooting on the inventory system.
- Performs regular audits of the system and product information in the Odoo system.
- Prepares inventory reports as requested.
- Supports efficient utilization of space and, ensure shelves, racking, and all items and totes are barcoded and labeled accordingly.
- Utilizing the inventory system, works in conjunction with other team members and other teams to ensure items being sent to and returned from off-site locations are tracked accordingly.
- In conjunction with the Inventory Coordinator, performs year-end inventory of all products, working with the assistance of volunteers and other team members.
- May guide volunteers on performing tasks necessary in the area of operation.
- Performs a variety of tasks as directed by your Management Team
- Ensures the supply chain areas are neat and organized.
Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Inventory system experience desired – Odoo experience a plus
- Detail oriented and tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software and systems.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive RAM vehicles.
- Must be proficient in verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in an office and warehouse environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.82 per hour
