What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) under the guidance of the Visual Resources Practice Lead
Coordinate contributions from a diverse technical team, including GIS and simulation specialists
Conduct project site visits, requiring occasional travel (10-20% annually)
Provide planning and permitting support for power generation and transmission projects
Manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
What is Required (Qualifications) :
3 to 5 years of experience in producing or supporting visual impact assessments
Strong research, analysis, and reporting skills, with a focus on technical writing
Ability to read and interpret site layouts, topographic maps, and other related documents
Commitment to high-quality work and a strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
Experience with VIAs compliant with the National Environmental Policy Act and state environmental review criteria
Familiarity with federal agencies and their assessment methods for visual effects
Experience with DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Knowledge of shadow flicker analyses for wind energy projects
Training in environmental science or a related field
