Software Engineer, Systematics (IMPACS / ST) Mainframe - (Remote Eligible)

We are looking for a Systematics (IMPACS / ST) Mainframe Software Engineer to join our team. There is a proprietary scripting language, PSL, used in the coding process. We hire engineers that have systems, Mainframe, and software backgrounds. The software engineering role within Capital One is critical to our success and one that focuses on building a highly reliable, scalable, and measurable customer experience ensuring continued growth of Capital One’s critical services in the Retail Bank.

Responsibilities :

• You will be responsible for the definition, design, construction, integration, testing, and support of reliable and reusable software solutions, addressing business opportunities.
• Includes systems analysis, creation of specifications, coding, testing, and implementation of application programs and data interfaces.
• Develop complex applications using IMPACS / ST application experience and Agile.
• Requires a previous domain of experience in applications development.
• You will demonstrate experience with large scale application integration efforts.
• Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges.
• Ensures that application designs are consistent with the attributes (including scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility).

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Remote (Regardless of Location) : $117,400 - $134,000 for Software Engineer.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
