What You’ll Do

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will drive the company's budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis processes, partnering with business leaders to address financial challenges and achieve strategic objectives. This role is responsible for leading the annual budgeting process, overseeing month-end financial reporting, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making. The Manager, FP&A will collaborate closely with business units to provide in-depth financial analysis, enabling data-driven strategies and fostering organizational growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the annual budgeting process, partnering with business unit leaders to develop, consolidate, and analyze comprehensive financial plans.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including variance analysis, financial performance reporting, and providing insights into discrepancies for management review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—finance, operations, and business units—to drive data-informed decision-making and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth profitability and cost control analysis across various levels (e.g., division, department, location, and customer) to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, including forecasts, variance analyses, and actionable recommendations, to senior management and business unit leaders.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support critical business initiatives and strategic decision-making processes.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against financial targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and execution of financial strategies focused on enhancing profitability and controlling costs across the organization.
  • Advise business leaders in developing action plans to address financial challenges and achieve their financial goals.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting, compliance, and analytical functions.

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting, ideally within a corporate or business unit environment
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and advanced Excel functions
  • Demonstrated ability to perform profitability analysis and cost control across multiple organizational levels
  • Proficiency with financial systems and software (e.g., ERP systems, financial reporting tools)
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented approach to financial challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a strong ability to anticipate and address financial issues before they impact the business.

Preferred:

  • MBA or CPA designation
  • Experience in NetSuite ERP
  • 2 years experience in managing or supervising others.
  • High potential, intellectually curious professional that desires growth.

This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Lisle, Illinois and offers a hybrid work schedule.
