Facilities and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: 

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to support the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

 Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot, repair, and contribute to the uninterrupted operation of all process and non-process equipment and utilities
• Schedule, execute and document all preventive maintenance for said utilities/equipment
• Level and calibrate mechanical printers
• Execute all preventive maintenance, including scheduling with internal stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and components
• BMS & CMS monitoring and alarm response
• Ensure efficient communication with team members
• Coordinate daily documentation logs, alarm reports, work orders, and cleaning logs
• Evaluate SOP’s and Emergency Procedures
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate small projects
• Perform other assignments as directed by manager or lead technician

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

• Associate’s degree: Electrical, Mechanical (Chemical or Material Science) or Electro-Mechanical engineering or equivalent technical or trade school required 
• 1 to 3 years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs or more

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

• Possess an understanding of HVAC systems & controls, plumbing, electrical, process piping and have proficiency in at least one trade
• Have analytical problem-solving skills to be able to identify the root cause of difficult technical and non-technical problems, be capable of analyzing alternate approaches and developing practical solutions to solve complex technical and non-technical problems
• 6S program support
• Machine shop knowledge is preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic leveling and calibrating xy table is preferred
• General knowledge of electrical and plumbing is helpful
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential
• Ability to prioritize workload 
• Must display a customer-oriented attitude
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
