Job Title: Accountant
Location: Mukilteo, WA 98275 (Relocating from Seattle, WA by year-end)
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage key financial processes, including cost accounting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and tax filing. You’ll play an integral part in the financial reporting and analysis that drives business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cost accounting to track and analyze project-related expenses.
- Oversee the general ledger (GL) to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and file B&O and L&I taxes as required by state regulations.
- Track labor and material usage through job traveler information.
- Process weekly accounts payable checks in a timely manner.
- Make journal entries and prepare accurate income statements and balance sheets.
- Undertake additional accounting duties as needed to support team operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred, not required).
- Proven experience in cost accounting and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly B&O and L&I taxes.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
