We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing financial operations related to all projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
• Track and reconcile project expenses including subcontractor payments, materials and labor costs
• Develop and maintain accounting systems and processes specific to construction projects
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Corp Executives to provide financial insights and support
• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment of invoices and bills
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and submit financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the construction industry
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
