Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Midtown, New York, NY
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Thursday), 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Friday)

Job Description:

We are a dynamic company located in Midtown, New York, seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk with 2-3 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable function, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days in the office and offers flexibility with 2 days remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices to ensure proper coding and accuracy in the accounting system
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Maintain accurate and organized vendor records and documentation
• Handle vendor inquiries regarding payments, billing discrepancies, and account issues
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities for accounts payable
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance) to resolve billing issues
• Support the preparation of financial reports as necessary
• Perform general administrative duties and assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (No degree required)
• 2-3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors
