Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Northern Atlanta, GA $175k-$200k Bonus Benefits

Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement the firm’s financial strategies, ensuring alignment with both short-term goals and long-term business objectives
Manage and oversee all financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
Direct the firm’s budgetary planning and cost management processes, providing actionable recommendations for improving profitability and reducing operational costs
Drive strategic financial decisions to enhance the firm’s overall financial health, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization
Oversee compliance with all financial regulations, including GAAP, tax laws, and other local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements
Establish and manage internal controls, ensuring all financial operations are in line with the firm’s risk management framework
Lead the firm’s risk management efforts, including assessing insurance needs and managing potential business risks
Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and other key financial stakeholders
Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with the Executive Committee and Managing Partner, providing key financial insights and strategic guidance to inform business decisions
Optimize cash flow management, forecasting, and investment strategies to ensure financial stability and sustainable growth
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred; CPA or CPA eligible required
A minimum of 10 years' accounting experience with min 5 years in Exec finance role, ideally within a law firm environment
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of general accounting, financial reporting, and risk management
Proficient in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced skills in MS Excel
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams
Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and tech skills
Exceptional communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively
In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, including GAAP and tax laws
Strategic thinker with ability to adapt financial strategies to meet firm’s evolving needs
