What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at RemX?
We are seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist to join our team! The phlebotomist will draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research.
Shift: Tue, Wed, Fri 8:30a-5p (approx. 24 hrs./wk.)
Responsibilities:
- Collect and store blood samples from patients
- Distribute samples to designated departments
- Monitor storage and inventory of supplies
- Maintain clean and healthy work environment
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures
- Assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ Equivalent
- Oncology experience desired (if no Oncology exp, exp w/ peds or geriatrics and doing hard stick (hard to stick skin: thin, hard to find vein or over-poked skin)
- Previous experience in phlebotomy, nursing, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Strong organizational skills
Salary : $19 - $23
