We are seeking a Sr Accountant with grant and non-profit experience to join a dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with grant requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the organization's financial health. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in non-profit accounting , and proficient in Sage Intacct .
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform grant accounting functions, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and funding requirements.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor reconciliations.
- Review and code invoices, expense reports, and allocations accurately.
- Monitor and track grant-related expenses, ensuring proper cost allocations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for board members on a quarterly basis.
- Assist with annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Review and assess contracts to ensure financial and regulatory compliance.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure financial accuracy in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper budgeting and financial oversight of grants.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Excel are required, with knowledge of Concur is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of grant accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, and contract reviews.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
