We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and advanced Excel skills. This role is key in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity. Responsibilities include financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker with sharp analytical skills and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting : Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.Account Reconciliation : Conduct in-depth reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.Journal Entries : Prepare and post complex journal entries as part of the accounting cycle.Month-End Close : Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all adjustments and financial reviews are completed accurately.Financial Analysis : Analyze financial trends, key performance indicators, and variances to support business decisions.Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and financial projections.Internal Controls : Evaluate and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.Audit Support : Prepare documentation and assist with external audits to ensure compliance.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to GAAP and other accounting standards and regulations.Sales Tax & Commissions : Reconcile sales tax and prepare monthly sales commission reports.Leadership & Mentorship : Potentially oversee and support junior accounting staff.Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling.Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.If you are an experienced accounting professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for financial accuracy, we encourage you to apply!
