RemX is assisting our client, a mid sized law firm located in Roseland NJ, with a search for an experienced Senior Trust and Estates Attorney for their esteemed law firm's Trusts and Estates department. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional legal expertise, proven success in complex estate planning and trust administration, and a dedication to contributing to our private client services' growth and success.

Responsibilities : Client Advisory :

Provide expert legal counsel on estate planning, asset protection, wealth preservation, and philanthropy.

  • Develop tailored estate plans aligned with clients' financial goals and tax efficiency.
  • Present complex legal concepts clearly to ensure client understanding.

Document Drafting :

Prepare and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

  • Collaborate on various trust instruments, including complex and charitable trusts.
  • Work with financial advisors for comprehensive estate planning. Trust Administration :

    • Oversee trusts and estates, ensuring compliance, proper asset distribution, and fiduciary duties.Guide clients through probate, resolving asset transfer and disputes.

  • Provide solutions for post-mortem trust matters.

    • Legal Analysis :

    Stay updated on evolving trust laws, tax codes, and regulations.

  • Analyze complex legal issues for innovative client strategies.

    • Mentorship & Leadership :

    Lead junior attorneys, fostering growth and excellence.

  • Exemplify strong work ethic and attention to detail.

    • Business Development :

    Expand client base through networking and relationship-building.

  • Collaborate across firm's practice areas for cross-functional expertise.

    • Qualifications :

  • J.D. degree from accredited law school, active bar membership.
  • 8-10 years in trust and estates law, including complex estates and tax planning.
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state estate laws, tax codes, and compliance.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Client-focused with commitment to exceptional service.
