Salad Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. This role involves menu planning, food handling, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. The Cook will work closely with the Dietary department to create delicious meals that meet our guests' needs while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Utilize culinary skills, including knife techniques, to efficiently prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Assist in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and menu planning.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
• Previous experience in catering or working within a Dietary department is a plus.
