Box Maker

REN Seafoods is seeking a motivated candidate to join our Warehouse team as a Box Maker.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a cold (sometimes wet) environment. This person will need to be able to work safely and quickly, standing for long periods while fulfilling orders.

**Pay starts at $12/hr. Employee is eligible for an increase to $13/hr. after after 45 days, if manager determines they have successfully completed the probationary period. Employee is eligible for an additional pay increase to $14/hr. after another 45 days if they continue to be successful in role. Probationary period may be extended at the manager's discretion.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure labels are properly affixed to the outside of the product container
• Ensure all labels are properly secure to product containers
• Maintain an adequate supply of unfolded corrugated boxes for the day’s production
• Stack folded boxes on a pallet for delivery to the production line
• Consistently maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Adhere to processing, sanitation, and food safety protocols.
• Demonstrate quality and safety awareness at all times.
• Follow GMP standards as directed.
• Follow Food Safety System requirements at the direction of the QA tech in the area.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Basic Math Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day in cold and wet environment
• Weekend and overtime work as needed

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

• Exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
• Work in a cold and wet food processing and manufacturing environment.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the shift.
