Position Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Mid-Career Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and career growth. Work is on-site 2 to 3 days per week typically, up to 5 days per week occasionally to support production. On-site requirements negotiable for highly qualified candidates.
You will collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineer cross functional partners to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into our products. Priority traits for the ideal candidate include unwavering ability to see tasks through to completion with minimal oversight, good technical judgment, and a solid background in design of complex electro-mechanical systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are key. Team leadership and mentorship skills can be developed in this role.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design electrical systems and subsystem project documents per customer requirements, RENA and industry best practices / DFx, and industry standards
- Project documents include schematics, BOM, solid models, test procedures, FMEA, manufacturing documents, etc.
- Select and source power, sensing, and control components for use with strong chemicals balancing performance and cost
- Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical components with mechanical systems and control software
- Support production, testing, and commissioning teams in troubleshooting, assembly, and integration of electrical systems into final products
- Perform extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved
- Conduct research and study new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products
- Conduct risk assessments and detailed in-process design reviews with cross functional partners as a design input
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education) :
Associate’s Degree 15 years
