The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the efficient execution of business plans, optimizing processes, and driving alignment with company objectives. This role involves managing budgets, supervising teams, and collaborating with various departments to meet performance targets and achieve company goals.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee Production: Ensure products are manufactured according to performance, quality, and production standards.
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement long-term operational strategies that align with company goals, including performance metrics and targets.
- Budget management: Oversee budgeting and cost control, ensuring operations stay within financial parameters.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team, including coaching and holding senior managers accountable for their performance.
- Performance Management: Create, monitor, and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with departments like Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure coordinated activities and alignment with company objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Customer Engagement: Represent operations in customer meetings as needed, always ensuring the company’s interests are professionally represented.
- Process Optimization: Oversee the entire process from Purchase Order (PO) to delivery, working with key stakeholders to negotiate and improve delivery timelines and efficiency.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage operational budgets to support profitability, utilizing sound financial principles and cost management strategies.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to promote consistency and alignment with business goals.
- Education: BS/BA degree in business, engineering, operations or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience in operations or a related field

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data and use operational metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled in planning, executing, and monitoring complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end business processes.
- Ability to work closely with multiple teams across the company including teams at Headquarters located in Germany.
