Description
Renaissance Construction is searching for a unique individual that is passionate, driven, and who exhibits integrity and value. The Director of Business Development is responsible for bringing in new project opportunities, building and maintaining industry relationships with architects, property management firms, facility managers and direct clients / end users. Directly reporting to the VP of Business Development and Pre-Construction, this individual requires an extensive understanding of the business development process, marketing to key individuals, knowledge of the various markets and industries, and will be responsible for their respective annual goals. This position will focus specifically in Renaissance Construction’s Tenant Improvement and Self-Performance vertical markets.
Location : Phoenix Metropolitan Area
Salary Range : $75,000 - $95,000 base uncapped commission
Essential Functions
- Prospecting to Generate Leads
- Establish initial contact at stakeholder level in potential customer organizations and take ownership of interaction with prospects to identify expectations / needs and project opportunities.
- Establish and expand relationships within the Self-performance and tenant improvement sectors and strategically position Renaissance Construction to be awarded projects.
- Participate in and have active involvement in industry-related professional organizations, charity committees, and attend industry and networking events, as well as conferences.
- Prepare each sales call, set specific call objectives, and allocate part of every sales call to understanding or clarifying the customers’ needs.
- Respond effectively to customer requests, assist in the development of project bids, and coordinate successful handoff of awarded work to the operations team.
- Develop strategies for dealing with obstacles, customer objections, or competitive situations.
