The mission of this full-time position is to process all Life Insurance and Disability business applications, orders medical records, helps manage life insurance cases, follow up on submitted policy requests, provides support with inforce business and assists Vice President with administrative duties.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Processes and tracks new Life and Disability applications and review for accuracy
  • Managing the process of uploading forms into our Docupace system.
  • Emailing daily new business to the appropriate carrier
  • Communicates with the advisors and/or assistants regarding the status of their pending business
  • Assists with outside business (AIMCOR, Crump, CIA and Standard)
  • Provides back up to the new business team including the new business staff in our outside offices.
  • Order Medical Records
  • Follow Up on Service Requests (policy changes)/ Research issues with inforce policies
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Vice President, Insurance Operations

    Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs.

    • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
    • This position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
    • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Work requires attention to detail in such things as composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

    Education, Training & Experience (Required)

    • High School diploma
    • Two or more years of experience in an office environment
    • Working knowledge of life insurance – preferred, not required

    Licenses & Certifications Preferred (not Required)

    • Life & Health
    • Series 6
    • Series 63

    Computer Equipment and Software

      Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:

    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Databases
    • Spreadsheets
    • Access
    • Internet

      Proficiency in the use of office equipment:

    • Computer
    • Voice messaging systems
    • Fax
    • Photo copier
    • Typing of at least 50 wpm

    Working Conditions

    • This position requires working in an office environment.
    • This position usually works a standard work week.
    • This position rarely works overtime.
    • This position rarely involves travel (outside of the onboarding period)
