Calavo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grade 4 Fruit Inspector. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our products by determining the grade and ripeness of fruit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the grade and ripeness of fruit
- Remove fruit of predetermined grade and/or ripeness
- Pack fruit based on orders
In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also be required to stack containers and load shipping containers. To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate strong competencies in oral communication, written communication, organizational support, and professionalism.
Basic Qualifications:
- A high school diploma
- Experience handling food in a manufacturing environment
We estimate that the salary for this position will be around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
