Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent guest relations throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and wine pairings, to effectively assist guests with their selections.
- Process payments accurately using basic math skills to ensure correct billing.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, striving for resolution and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Upscale Hotel experience is a MUST have.
- Previous experience in food service or the culinary industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Excellent guest relations skills, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Basic math skills for processing orders and payments accurately.
- Experience in fine dining settings is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
