Renaissance Services and Go Pave Utah, Utah’s trusted paving company specializing in all aspects of paving, property/facilities management and more, is looking for an Assistant Lead & Maintenance Technician to join our Complete Facilities Management Solutions (CFMS) Team. This full-time Friday to Monday position reports directly to the Plant Lead and must be a Jack or Jill of all trades, able to provide leadership as well as cleaning, painting, light equipment repair and maintenance, basic landscaping, snow removal and everything in between for the facilities we manage. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, lead by example, be flexible, hard-working and ready to perform a variety of physical tasks while providing support and guidance for our diverse team of crew members.

The Roles & Responsibilities of the Assistant Lead & Maintenance Technician includes the following:
- Performing a variety of facilities maintenance, general repairs, basic landscaping, commercial cleaning and other physical tasks at CFMS facilities to ensure all facilities areas are clean, well-maintained and safe (# 1 priority)
- Assisting with and performing a variety of activities related to supporting plant operations, maintenance scheduling, project identification and coordination
- Assisting with and/or performing a variety of tasks related to facilities crew management, training, development and performance evaluation
- Performing a variety of administrative tasks related to daily, weekly and monthly reporting regarding operations, maintenance and repairs, safety and relationship building activities
- Attending a variety of meetings and performing errands and tasks to support special projects outside of weekly scheduled hours to meet and exceed CFMS Plant Management Partners & Key Stakeholders expectations
This position requires the following experience and skill sets:
- 2 years’ experience leading, training and evaluating a crew of 4 or more
- 2 year’s work experience in facilities and/or property maintenance and management; handy man experience a plus
- 2 year’s work experience in commercial cleaning, basic landscaping and snow removal
- 2 year’s work experience preparing areas for painting, repairing holes and painting
- 1 years’ experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing basic facilities equipment and machinery
- 1 years’ experience leading safety training and initiatives
- Ability to stand/work on elevated lifts; comfortable with heights
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks a minimum of 10 hours a day 4 days a week
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively and professionally in English
- Ability to motivate a diverse hard-working, rough & tumble team day in and day out
- Ability to understand and speak basic Spanish
- Comfortable working on a computer and ability to learn new technology & apps easily
- Excellent time management, prioritization and follow-up skills
- Ability to solve problems and resolve crew conflicts and misunderstandings
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to work in hot/cold working conditions inside and outside throughout the year
- Ability to be in spaces with a variety of smells, levels of dirt and dust
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Work Schedule & Requirements
- Fridays through Mondays; 10 hour shift - between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
