Senior Estimator – Tekla Experience Required
An established commercial construction company is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in large-scale concrete or steel projects and proven expertise in Tekla software.
Key Qualifications:
- Tekla software experience is a MUST
- Background in concrete or steel (VDC/BIM management experience a plus)
- Experience estimating multiple, large-scale projects ($5M – $100M )
- Industry experience in commercial, industrial, mission critical, or large-scale multi-family construction (civil construction may also be considered)
- Field experience is highly valued
- Prior experience working with either a general contractor or subcontractor specializing in concrete or steel required
- Proven ability to manage estimates from start to finish, including WIP, change orders, and closeouts
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and create accurate pricing
- Prepare conceptual estimates and full bid packages
- Lead preconstruction efforts, including design reviews, value engineering, and scheduling input
- Collaborate closely with the operations team throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and subcontractor negotiations
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
- 2 years of hands-on Tekla experience
- 5 years of experience as an estimator with a concrete or steel subcontractor, or comparable experience with a large general contractor
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market conditions
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
On-site position in Phoenix, AZ
Base salary: 120-200K base salary, plus up to 50% annual bonus. Relocation assistance available for out of state applicants.
