Position Overview :
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Procurement will lead the centralized purchasing strategy and oversee procurement, logistics, warehouse, and materials management for a prestigious luxury hotel resort in the Bahamas. This senior leadership role is responsible for optimizing procurement operations, ensuring cost efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support the resort's exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the resort's operational and financial goals.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, vendor negotiations, contract management, and purchasing activities.
- Manage logistics, warehousing, and materials management to ensure the efficient and timely availability of goods and services.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical procurement standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, Operations, and Food & Beverage, to streamline purchasing processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive strategic decision-making and improve procurement performance.
