Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Renard's Cheese. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations to ensure the smooth functioning of our production facilities. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities within the facility.
- Implement and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking maintenance tasks.
- Lead a small team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Fabricate and repair equipment as necessary to minimize downtime.
- Utilize logic controllers and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Manage systems safely and effectively according to industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Responsible for scheduling, planning, organizing, and performing a variety of maintenance tasks
- Performs and or assigns for completion on a regular basis scheduled preventative maintenance duties of buildings and equipment
- Schedules maintenance with outside venders as needed
- Perform and or assigns general property maintenance
- Complete and or assigns some landscaping and snow removal duties
- Schedules vehicle maintenance and monitors Motive for driver reported maintenance issues.
- Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters to facilitate corrective action if required.
- Completes all necessary recordkeeping of maintenance activities by utilizing Maintain X system.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and ensure that all maintenance staff are trained in the most updated version of the operating procedures.
- Maintain working knowledge of equipment and best practices, such as preventative or predictive maintenance.
- Performs any other related duties as required or requested.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, positive, and organized work environment.
- Establish a good working relationship with department employees and management
- Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices
- Observe proper safety policies and procedures at all times
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure all maintenance needs are prioritized and executed
- Fills in as back up Load Driver on occasion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance management within an industrial setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to generally lift 50 pounds and on occasion 75 pounds
- Comfortable loading and driving a standard box truck
- Specific vision may be required for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching required
- Climbing up ladders
- Excellent time management skill
