Accounting Intern

Overview

The Accounting Intern will provide support to our department staff and have the opportunity to shadow areas related to Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with account balance reconciliations and other general responsibilities associated with the month-end financial close process
• Assist with the preparation and verification of required quarterly reports submitted to the company’s various regulatory agencies
• Assist with special projects or other initiatives of the department as directed by the supervisors within the department
• Responsibility to use company resources and technology to gain product knowledge
• Maintain highest level of confidentially with customer data and/or material non-public financial information of the company
• Dress in an appropriate manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; currently enrolled in college or graduate of a four year university, with major in business or finance related field preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products including outlook, word, and excel
