Pool Director – Renbrook School Summer Adventure

Renbrook School Summer Adventure is seeking an experienced Pool Director to lead our summer swim program from June 9 – August 1. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified aquatics professional to oversee a dynamic program in a fun, outdoor summer camp environment.

Position Overview

The Pool Director will be responsible for directing and supervising all aspects of our swim program, which serves campers ages 3-14. This includes oversight of three outdoor pools, leading a team of 25 swim instructors and lifeguards, ensuring safety protocols are met, and providing high-quality swim instruction in a positive and engaging setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the swim program and outdoor pool facilities for 500 campers/week.
• Supervise, train, and support a staff of 25 swim instructors and lifeguards.
• Develop and implement swim lesson plans tailored to different skill levels.
• Ensure all safety protocols and lifeguarding procedures are followed.
• Communicate with camp leadership and families regarding swim progress and safety measures.
• Alongside the camp’s maintenance professionals, help maintain pool cleanliness, organization, and compliance with state and camp regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Current Lifeguard Certification (including CPR/First Aid).
• Minimum 3 years of swim instruction experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for working with children in an outdoor summer camp setting.
