What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasons Lodge and Condominiums Front Desk /Night Auditor position at Rend Lake Conservancy District?
Seasons Lodge and Condominiums is hiring a part-time front desk/night auditor employee. The employee is responsible for the customer service and the good first and last impression a guest receives.
Duties:
- Answers all incoming calls from the 800 line and direct line and connects the calls to the correct department or room
- Answers all questions any guests or future guests may have or connects them to the right person who can give them the proper information
- Makes reservations for the lodge, condominiums, and manor house
- Makes reservations for hunting and golf packages and daily, weekly, or monthly condominium rentals
- Checks guests in and out of the lodging facilities. This includes all credit card transactions and cash paying customers.
- Posts all golf charges for guests who room charge their golf
- Faxes over nightly sheets to the pro shop for guests golfing the following day on a golf package
- Deliver packages, messages, and faxes to guests
- Runs nightly audit reports such as daily summaries, telephone reports, movie and game reports, housekeeping reports, as well as daily arrivals and departures.
- Closes the end of the day on computers and advances computers to the next business day
- Counts all money in cash drawer and petty cash
- Checks that receipts sent over from restaurant and pro shop to make sure that all room charges are posted to the correct room
- Settles credit cards and makes sure totals match the Cash Drawer Summary totals
- Gets the continental breakfast ready for guests during the winter seasons
- Helps the housekeeping staff with nightly laundry if needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Desirable Education and Experience:
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school education
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions
