Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and energetic individual to join our team as a Cashier / Barista. This role combines customer-facing responsibilities with the preparation of high-quality coffee and drinks. As a Cashier / Barista, you will be the first point of contact for customers and play a key role in ensuring they have a great experience at our café.

Key Responsibilities:-

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Take orders accurately, both in-person and via phone, and process payments promptly.
• Handle customer inquiries, offer product recommendations, and resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter.
• Prepare guests plates and take orders

Barista Duties:

• Prepare a variety of coffee and espresso drinks according to standard recipes.
• Ensure that all drinks are made with the highest quality and consistency.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep the coffee and drink stations clean and stocked with necessary supplies.

Cash Handling:

• Operate the cash register, process payments (cash, credit/debit), and issue receipts.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers and handle cash transactions in a secure manner.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist with restocking inventory and supplies as needed.
• Ensure that all health and safety standards are followed, including food handling and cleanliness.

Additional Duties:

• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the day.
• Participate in team training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cashier, barista, or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Passion for coffee and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling cash and operating a cash register.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, team player mentality, and a willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
