Materials & Equipment Coordinator - CP2
Duration/Status: 12 month renewable
Location: south of Greater Lake Charles, LA region
Schedule: 5 days/week, 40 hours/week schedule - all work days at the Office (remote/hybrid schedule NOT AN OPTION)

Our Client is currently searching for a Material Coordinator to join their Project Team located south of the Greater Lake Charles, LA region. This individual will report to the Site Materials Manager
Responsibilities:
- Single point of contact regarding Owner Furnished Equipment at the site.
- Review Contractor plans for receipt and storage of OFE and Contractor-supplied material and equipment and ensure conformance with the inventory and storage requirements.
- Audit Contractor Materials Management activities e.g. include but are not limited to monitoring the receiving process, periodic inventory spot checks, and field inventory spot checks.
- Reports deliveries to maintain compliance with local and other government agencies.
- Assists in planning warehouse/laydown requirements.
- Resolve issues related to Materials Management of Owner Furnished Equipment.
- Ensures each traceable piece is entered into the inventory database for tracking purposes.
- Interface between Vendor and Construction Contractor for all information and data regarding Packing Lists, Bills of Material, Shipping and Delivery information, Transportation Schedules
- Develop reporting to communicate items delivered, issued, outstanding, etc.
- Develop plans and procedures.
- Work with the scheduling team to validate planned work sequences.
- Attend progress/planning meetings and identify and report areas of concern.
- Build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Maintains records, historical data regarding the delivery, and storage of Owner Furnished Equipment
- Ensures items returned from field construction are placed back into the inventory database.
- Assists with disposing of unused items at the end of the construction phase, e.g., handover to operating unit, preparation for sale/auction, and scrapping.
- Direct work activities and manage a crew of Material Coordinators.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in industrial construction of industrial facilities, including power generation, oil & gas or LNG plants.
- Experience working with Construction Equipment, including owner operating.
- Experience working at a Construction Site – Supply Chain function is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work within a team with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
