Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PC Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software components, as well as excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with users.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical hardware support for Mac iOS, Windows Server and Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computers, peripherals, and IT infrastructure. Networks, Printers etc.
- Assist users with VPN connectivity issues, ensuring secure remote access to company resources.
- Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner, documenting all interactions and resolutions.
- Maintain and manage SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software deployment and updates.
- Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance on computer systems, including software updates, virus scans, and system backups.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in a PC Technician or similar role with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux environments is a plus.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with VPN technologies and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Prior experience in a help desk environment is preferred.
