Position:
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Summary:
As part of our team, you oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, store said items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items and appropriate documentation for outbound shipments i.e. Bill of Lading, associated certifications. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while performing the required duties managing associated with the logistics of a the high volume of items entering and leaving the both Renegade Materials facility facilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility.
- Store received items in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
- Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
- Ability to identify the appropriate shipping method/classification, appropriate packaging container and protective material if needed
- Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
- Ability to Maintain shipping and receiving records
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions as well as customer specified requirements
- Keep the equipment and the surrounding areas clean and organized at all times of both Renegade facilities
- Drive box truck from facility to facility (local)
Other Job Requirements:
- Prior warehouse experience
- Must be able to operate a fork truck and scissor lift and pass a company sponsored certification program for each
- Experience with ERP systems, Epicor preferred
- Chemical and solvent handling experience preferred
- Above average knowledge SDS (Safety Data Sheet) documents and protocols
- Experience shipping and receiving from Global suppliers and customers
- Strong observation and comprehension skills
- Capacity to learn and perform more than one job function
- Ability to pay attention to details while performing repetitive tasks
- Must be physically able to move around equipment and handle heavy materials
- Able to take and follow instructions with a good attitude and be a team player
- Able and willing to come in early, stay late and work weekends when required
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver's license required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds unaided and be able to walk, bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift. The ability to respond quickly to sounds. The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations. Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Work Environment
- Warehouse area of a manufacturing facility (Aerospace).
Job Type: Full-time
