What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseperson - Wine Valley Inn, Solvang position at Reneson Hotel Group?
The Wine Valley Inn in Solvang has an immediate opening for a full-time PM Houseperson who will work Friday/Saturday 8am - 4:30pm and Monday/Tuesday 1:30pm to 10pm. Under general supervision performs custodial duties and minor maintenance on facility equipment and facility, distributes clean linen to storage closets as necessary, runs items to guest rooms and assists guests as needed, sorts linen and uts dirty linen in washer when clean loads into dryer. Once linens are dry, items are to be folded. Maintains premises and facility in a clean and orderly condition. Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently and carry up to 50 pounds. This is a very front facing position with guests, so must be able to understand English to respond to guest requests
JOB FUNCTIONS
*1) Performs custodial tasks such as (not limited to) sweeping, dusting and polishing exterior woodwork, fixtures and equipment, washing windows, and walls.
*2) Operates commonly used types of power and non-power cleaning and polishing equipment.
3) Walks property picking up garbage, keeping hallways clear of debris.
4) Takes items to guest room upon request from front desk.
5) Performs minor preventive maintenance tasks as needed
6) Processes laundry - wash, dry and fold linen. Stocks linen closets and carts.
7) Other related tasks upon request.
*8) Complies with all Company and Department safety policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1) Basic reading and writing.
2) Physical ability to perform essential functions of job.
3) To be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
4) To be able to climb up and down elevated surfaces frequently.
5) To be able to push/pull up to 100 frequently.
6) Ability to follow instructions.
7) Must be able to communicate in English (read, speak and understand) with guests and their requests.
