Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and well-being.
- Provide compassionate support in various settings, including home and community environments.
- Observe and document patient behaviors and progress while maintaining confidentiality.
- Implement behavior support strategies as trained to enhance client engagement.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve skills and knowledge in caregiving practices.
- Support clients in social interactions and community involvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client needs effectively.
- Knowledge of ADLs and long-term care practices is essential.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting as needed for client assistance.

- Experience or education in social work or related fields is a plus but not required.
