Summary

As a Direct Support Professional at Renew Residential Services, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is based in the United States and involves providing essential support and care to help clients achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
• Assist clients with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration as needed.
• Implement behavior support strategies and person-first language in all interactions.
• Promote client independence by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are upheld at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans.

Requirements

• Experience in home care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate attitude towards individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Understanding of resident rights and advocacy principles.
