Compensation: Base salary of $52,000 with benefits, and incentives paid based on performance.
Job Overview:
As Renewable Energy Partners (REP) continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us and strengthen our Project Management team. The Solar Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects. This role involves assisting in coordinating all aspects of solar installations, ensuring timely and efficient project completion while maintaining quality and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of solar energy projects, from inception to completion. (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Design, Procurement, Construction & Closeout)
- Support project managers in scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project milestones.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Help oversee the quality of installation and ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and managing project timelines, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule.
- Maintain communication with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Help prepare project documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that arise.
- Support in conducting site assessments and reviewing project specifications.
- Track project costs and assist in managing project budgets to minimize overruns.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Assist in managing risk and troubleshooting any issues that may impact project timelines or budget.
- Support sales team and marketing in acquiring solar projects for Renewable Energy Partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field (preferred).
- One year plus of experience in the solar energy industry or project management (is a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong understanding knowledge of renewable energy technologies.
- Knowledge of project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the solar energy sector.
- Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional travel to project sites.
- Ability to work in an office and outdoor environments (when visiting sites).
- Flexibility in work hours as project demands may require evening or weekend work.
