What are the responsibilities and job description for the O&M Asset Manager position at Renewable Solar Inc (RSI)?
Renewable Solar Inc is a rapidly growing Solar PV Engineering, Construction and Procurement (ECP) company, currently managing a portfolio of over 500 PV solar sites, a combination of residential and commercial sites valued in excess of $500M with a staff of roughly 150 personnel. RSI is seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager that can implement an active management program, ensuring solar sites are properly accounted, maintained and optimized for our customer base.
Position Overview: The O&M Asset Manager will manage the Operations side of RSI’s O&M department, leading the effort in establishing an effective Asset Management (AM) system. The Asset Manager will oversee work order management for repair, preventative and predictive maintenance, wash schedules, equipment warranties, contract periods, WREGIS registrations, invoice generation and much more. The Asset Manager does not need to be an expert in solar but must have a solid background and understanding of asset management to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities: As an O&M Asset Manager, this person will provide:

Working closely selected asset management software integration team, lead the effort to collect, organize and input facility data from ~500 solar sites into the AM system. Ensure data accuracy and completeness for all assets, including equipment details, warranty info, RSI service levels.

Configure the AM system to automate repair work orders, preventative and predictive maintenance and wash schedules. Work with Maintenance Manager to streamline maintenance request processing, technician assignments, and work order tracking.
c.
Ensure AM system includes accurate database of warranty coverage, contract terms and service agreements. Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to track warranty claims and contract renewals.
d.
Support invoice generation for reimbursable work by linking completed maintenance work to financial reporting systems. Generate reports on asset performance, maintenance efficiencies, and compliance with service shortfalls.
e.
Work closely with O&M maintenance teams, finance and IT to continuously improve asset data integrity and system functionality.
4. Requirements: The ideal candidate has 10 years of asset management experience. Candidates do not require solar experience, but must be familiar with facilities life cycle from contract sale through engineering, project management, construction and O&M services.
5. Tools: The Account Manager will be using Job Nimbus, Monday.com, Also Energy, Solar Edge, Microsoft Office on a routine basis.
6. Supervisory Controls: This is a supervisory position. This position supervises 3-4 personnel to include an Operations Specialist, and a Billing Analyst, and an Account Manager. This position reports to the Director of O&M. Expectation are 40-45 hour work week, typically Monday through Friday from 8AM-4PM with minimal OT or weekend work expected.
7. Compensation: This is a salary position, range at $90k-$110k depending on experience and qualifications. Package includes 5% 401k match and employer sponsored health/vision/dental and life insurance options. Two weeks PTO, and 1-week sick standard.
