What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Events position at Renewal by Andersen of Charleston and Hilton Head?
In this role, you will be required to split your time between the office and travel to various events & retail sites. In the office you will assist the Director of Event Marketing with recruiting, hiring, and training of Event Marketing Promoters. Duties in the office will include training new hires, conducting 1 on 1’s, scheduling, and preparing supplies for the team. While out of the office you will be making site visits at assigned events as well as setting up at events and hiring fairs. At the site visits you will do on site training with Event Marketing Promoters which will include lead generation. A review will be required for every site visit that is made, turned into the Director of Event Marketing.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE
- To foster a culture of positive reinforcement at each event/retail location
- Conduct event site visits each weekend to give on site coaching, write a review of every event site visit, turned in no later than the following Wednesday
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training
- Assisting with the researching and booking of events/retail locations
- Ensuring all RbA lead setting policies and procedures are in place and being followed even at risk of losing an appointment
- Keep a positive, competitive atmosphere between event agents
- Point of contact for all event agents on location
- Be actively working whenever your team is working, not just on call, but ideally be out in the field site visiting. If not, you are still expected to be ready to go out in the field if a rep needs extra supplies (app reminders, coupons, event/retail equipment).
- When necessary, taking on the responsibilities of the call center to ensure the appointment is qualified (time commitment, two party commitments) and setting a date time.
- Conduct in person 1 on 1’s with your team to provide extra coaching and performance management.
- Set up, execute, and break down of events as needed
- Provide Director with consumer feedback and information for event recaps
- Maintain professionalism at all times
- Keep track of inventory and ensure display materials in good working order.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING| THE PERSON
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to listen
- Minimum of 2 years in a Leadership role supporting teams of 5-10
- Experience in Marketing and/or Sales
- Flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt well in a changing environment
- Microsoft Experience
- Able to conduct research, work under tight deadlines, develop and organize information
- Be data driven; ability to tell a story based on qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to find resolution, deliver difficult feedback and advise management
- Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation
- Must be able to lift, bend, step up, and kneel
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
