What are the responsibilities and job description for the Canvasser position at Renewal by Andersen?
Proximity Marketers are the first interaction with new customers. They meet with hundreds of homeowners and generate leads by offering free in-home consultations. We are seeking highly motivated, driven, and goal-oriented individuals to become a part of our Proximity Marketing team!
This position pays $25 hourly plus bonus/commission. This is a full-time position, with growth opportunities available!
THE ROLE – What you’ll be doing:
- Report to various assigned neighborhoods throughout Westchester County (NY), a portion of Fairfield County (CT), and the Stamford, CT area.
- Diligently work to generate qualified sales leads while engaging in door-to-door outreach in assigned neighborhoods.
- Understand our products and services to educate our potential customers.
- Setting appointments for our sales team to provide a free consultation including demonstrations and quotes based on the customer’s replacement needs.
- Represent Renewal by Andersen with the utmost degree of professionalism.
THE PERSON – What you’ll bring:
- High energy/outgoing personality with professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- Experience in sales, hospitality, canvassing, or customer service preferred but not required!
- Positive attitude through rejection
- Self-motivated with strong negotiation skills and results orientated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet goals and metrics set for you and/or the team

THE SCHEDULE – When you’ll work:
- Monday-Friday, 9:30 am-6 pm
- Some Saturdays on occasion
Must be comfortable with:
- Working outdoors in various neighborhoods.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Working in a goals/metrics driven environment.
- Working independently while being a part of a great team.
