Responsibilities
- Write and edit press releases, announcements, and other PR-related content.
- Gather information from various territories and departments to create cohesive PR materials.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and PR partners.
- Seek and pursue opportunities for media coverage and placement.
- Support PR campaigns and events to boost brand visibility.
- Monitor media coverage and report on PR campaign success.
- Update our website with relevant content as needed.
- Support the People Team with administrative tasks, including maintaining press lists and organizing media kits.
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the media landscape and a passion for seeking PR opportunities.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms preferred.
- Experience with photo and video editing and Knowledge of AP style is a plus.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field with previous coursework, class projects, or relevant experience.
