The purpose of this position is to support the non-traditional marketing efforts for the RSVP Events Market. This role is essential to nurturing good working relationships with restaurants, suppliers, vendors, community partners, and the internal marketing team as well as key leaders in other departments. The coordinator will be responsible for researching, tracking, confirming, and planning for participation in RSVP events including securing restaurant locations, planning to mail campaigns, coordinating digital campaigns and being the direct point of contact for interested customers.
Primary Duties
- Conducts research including targeting neighborhoods that fit the demographic of our ideal customer.
- Arranges and coordinates with restaurants and other locations to plan an event.
- Budgets targeting ideal venues to provide a great experience while maintaining budget.
- Confirms and verifies attendance with customers before an event.
- Responsible for event setup and tear down.
- Attends events and coordinates onsite activity.
- Submits results of event results for managers reports.
Additional Duties
- Reviews proofs for accuracy of venue address, date, and time.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Two plus years customer service and/or sales experience.
- Three plus years administrative experience.
- Three plus years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events.
- Preferred: Experience as an RBA Events Representative, experience with events or sales.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Travel to and from events in your vehicle.
Physical requirements and working conditions
- Sitting and/or standing for the majority of the day in front of a computer.
- Others working at stations nearby, the noise level is normal for an open office environment.
- Typing and using a mouse requires hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Clarity of vision to read small print including documents and computer screens.
- Ability to lift light boxes, files, or office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to attend events at various locations including restaurants and event venues.
- Movement of equipment necessary to produce events.
